Hi I'm Katie and this is a bit about me :)
I was born in countryside and grew up on a farm in a small village. I have always loved music and performing from a very young age, participating in choirs, music bands and dance shows from as early as the age of 3.
Throughout my childhood I performed in the English Youth Ballet, on the West End and also performed in the Royal Albert Hall. Lets just say, I love to perform!
My other passion has always been songwriting. I always remember writing lyrics to the demo tracks on my keyboard when I was little and now I'm producing my own full tracks.
I was, however, a good academic student as well, which meant I had to face the big question: Arts or Academics? - I guess one positive outcome from the awful pandemic was that this decision became so much easier.
The pandemic hit us all hard. We lost many people and 2 years of our lives. Studying during this time became a nightmare and school became a place I felt uncomfortable returning to after being away for so long. As for many of us, covid left me unsure and scared. My university applications were dependant on teachers who'd only seen me through computer screens for the last year and I was struggling with my mental health.
This is when I really turned to songwriting as an escape. This dark period really helped me to develop my music. I couldn't go out to perform but that only made me practice and grow more as a musician.
After my Alevels, I decided to move to London to persue my career in music at degree level and I have loved every moment so far!
In London I met so many wonderful people including my crazy talented band mates, who I have been frequently performing around London with.
I've written more music than I have ever done before and I cannot wait to be back to performing and sharing these stories with you.
Life is short, go live it and enjoy it !
